I am trying to install a TMobile dongle but my laptop won't recognise it. when I first plugged it in I got a 'installation failed' message but now I don't get any message. I've tried other ports (all work fine with other USB devices) but the dongle isn't even recognised in 'my computer' so can't run the install exe from there. Any advice?

What laptop is it it and what version of windows are you running?
Question Author
It's a Sony Vaio running Vista.
What model make / number is the Dongle?

The info should be located on the Dongle case.
Have you tried leaving the dongle in a USB port and then close down/power-off then start-up system again?

In theory that should detect the device and auto install the driver software if is found successfully.
