Faulty Ipad

I purchased an ipad and a couple of days later it broke down on me, the shop is going to give me a replacement, but what I need to know is if they repair it will they be able to have access to my emails as I didn't sign out?

I'd imagine so, change your password on another computer.

Even if I do change the PW won't the email still be open on the Ipad?

When I changed my password I think the iPad prompted me for the new one when I tried to go into it, I had to enter it in the settings. This was a while ago though and my memory can be decidedly dodgy at times.
