You could look at the National trust site here

click Local to You for the area you'd like then on the menu on the left you'll see weddings & venue hire. Your actual ceremony might not be outside but you'll be in a beautiful place for the before & after.
Wishing you all the best for you wedding!

I should have said it might help if you told us which area you'd like as there may be people on here who can recommend specific places. :-)

If you are in the Midlands then Coombe Abbey near Coventry (genuine old abbey) is great as it is a hotel also.

They also have medieval banquets so that can be your reception (someone I know did that).

My mum got married 5 years ago in a beautiful hotel in the Lake District. The guests had the option of staying in the hotel or making their own way home which worked well and all the catering was lovely. The hotel had gorgeous grounds surrounding it, perfect for the pictures. The owners of the hotel went out of their way to make sure the day went perfectly as it did.
Hi Veritymoon - we were very lucky to hire a beautiful old manor that didn't include all the usual extras ie corkage charge, catering etc etc we organised everything ourselves from buying the booze in france and having a free bar to getting the whole family at the house the day before to decorate with roses and ivy - we had a pig roast in the evening from the local butchers - the whole thing was amazing and everyone commented on how it felt like an exclusive party - mainly because we did it ourselves and didn't get sucked into the wedding hype - weddings DO NOT need to cost the earth!!!!! Just research properties that will let you take control yourselves - good luck
