Crack In Washbasin
I have a vanity unit in the bathroom with an acrylic washbasin.a couple of little cracks have appeared around the back of the plughole ,could I use a silicone sealant on the underside to stop the water leaking underneath.Thay are very tiny cracks and only a few drops drip...would the sealant stop this ...as a temporary measure...just for now.
Also I have seen someone say they were glad they put "isolators on the taps"...what is this???

Isolators on the taps.
A valve where you can turn on and off the water just to a individual tap, very simple to fit. You fit it into the water pipe that leads to the tap that you may want to do some work on, this allows you not have to turn off your main water supply ( the valve under the kitchen sink usually ) and you keep your water supply to all your other taps and toilets.
