Ann, the severity of the itch is in total co-relation to the persons ability to reach it! Do people in Glocca Morra ever wonder how we are? How does the man who drives the snow-plough get to work? My personal one is, why when I've just painted my nails, does my nose itch or need blowing, depite me doing so before I start!!!

Why do banks only agree to lend money to people who can demonstrate that they do not need it ?
Incidentally, I have an answer to the snow plough question.
I know the (erstwhile) snow plough driver. In bad weather, he drove home in the snow plough and cleared the road on his way to work the next morning - until the rules were changed, forbidding him to take the vehicle home at night. He subsequently had to battle his way in in his car and then take the plough out when he got to work, thus delaying ploughing the road for approx. 2 hours. Much better !
