Don't know if it's what you're thinking of, but I remember hearing Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song - but that might have been the BBC's 'Winter Season' trailer, not just for Life On Mars.

i agree with brachiopod - while the program's called life on mars, i'm pretty sure i remember hearing immigrant song by led zeppelin on the advert.

I only vaguely remember seeing a trailer for Life On Mars itself (as opposed to a general trailer for 'New programmes this season'), and I'm pretty sure it wasn't David Bowie. It would have been a bit obvious, really.

It's a bit like that 'Walk Away & I Stumble' drama from a month or two ago - (the one that prompted a thousand questions). The trailer used Kate Bush rather than the obvious Macy Gray.

ive listened to life on mars -and it dont sound like the trailer music at all -whiich sounds v modern - have to check again
