Seneca and Dead

I am having a bit of a problem. I have just translated (for a test Latin) a text from Seneca in which he described someone who was ready to die. Now I forgot the name of that person and I was wondering if someone now who I mean?? The only thing I can remeber is that his name ends with linus. Can someone please help me?

I thought you were referring to Seneca's 'De brevitate vitae' which was addressed to his friend Paulinus (which I agree is not quite what you asked). I can't recall another Seneca work which explicitly addresses this issue - any further clues?

Just an hour ago I was making a math test and then I realised I know the name. If I am not mistaken the name is Marcellinus, or something like that. I am kind of stupid, I admit it, by asking a question while I new deep inside the answer. But thanks anyway...
