reboot again!
hi
my Packard Bell computer used to run on windows HOME before i rebooted it with windows PRO, an now my pc is running really slow
i have cds to reboot it back to HOME edititon which i have used before but it does not seem 2 be working now. My DVD drive does not work an i was told that i have to uninstall it and use the CD-RW drive but i am not sure how to do that, I have also tried 2 configure the settings in BIOS but i can not change the main boot drive to the CD-RW
any help???

Sounds like your DVD and CD-RW are connected to the same IDE port and are set as DVD = master and CD = slave. If the CD really must be the master for it to boot you are going to have to open the PC and change the jumpers on the drives.
* Turn off the power and remove the cable *
Look at the data cable from the back of the drives, if the same cable connects to the DVD and the CD-RW then check out the jumpers, On the back of the drives (which look like this ) there are three jumpers positions marked ''MA'' for master, ''SL'' for slave, ''CS'' for cable select.
Make the CD be jumpered as master and the DVD as slave.
If you still have trouble and If you really want to be sure that it will boot then disconnect the data cable from the back of the DVD and make sure the CD is set as master. After you have finished reinstalling Home you can reconnect the data cables and windows should setup the drive automatically.
