females with tattoos

what is the view of females with tattoos i dont mean covered from head to toe just the odd 1 or 3

As a teenager it was my greatest wish to have one. I thought it would somehow boost my confidence and give me a self confident air. As a thirty five year old Mum, I've decided to get mine lazered off because it makes me feel cheap and has stopped me wearing ball gowns and sleeveless outfits.
Tattoos are fine if they truly reflect the image you wish to project. Sadly, mine was all a bluff and the biggest bluff was on myself.

I have a small scotland flag on my shoulder and my husband and daughters name on each arm in small chinese writing, everyone says there nice. I don't like females with big tattoos, my husband is covered in them.

Don't like them on men or women. Especially when they've been there for over forty years and are faded and tatty. Or the awful cheap ones that look like been done with a blue biro. Yuck!

Personally I don't like them, think they make the person look cheap and nasty. Used to use those 'lick on' ones when I was a kid though!

I have a little daisy in my abdomen. I had it done when I was 22yrs and had a nice flat tummy! But in hind sight I would have had it somewhere less stretchy, because after having kids, it now looks more like an oak tree!!

Women with tattoos are unattractive in my opinion. I think they should be left to the thicko macho men.

I have a tattoo on my back - just below the nape of my neck,
it's a Kokopelli (google it!) with the sun behind him and music notes above it's head.

you can hardly see through my hair .. not that I have a hairy back you understand - just have long hair! :oP

I'm still glad I got it done but I wouldn't get a second.

i regrettably have tattoos on both hands -done when 17 and stupid - many years ago - and although didnt cost much then - they have cost me quite a few jobs in the past and at least �750 so far in laser costs to get rid of -- but can you talk anyone out of getting one done - no way! hindsight is a great thing !!! and in my opinion tattoo fashions change - who wants a big red rose on their arm now or swallows on their hands?? in a few years time, all the black tattoos will be out of 'fashion' as well. never, never have something so permanent done for the sake of a trend!!

Beaniedog. My sister had three tattoos on her arms thirty-five years ago, and spent her life covering up her mistake. No bikini for her, no evening dress, summer ware etc. She deeply regretted her folly but had no choice but to endure it.

I have two tattoos and purposely have them if I choose in later life to cover them - although I doubt it

I have my two most precious creations initials in a subtle italic on my wrist.Has been much admired.My initial as well my husbands on my ankle.Neither look tacky and both are done in dark ink.

My daughter has the most beautiful bird of paradise at the base of her spine - the feathers tailing down quite far.It is stunning and again it is personal.

I dont like in your face multi facetted forearm red devil tattoos however - I think you should retain a modicum of decorum.

I agree i have tattoos and i have had all of them so far in places i can cover up and they are covered most the time im considering having a couple on my wrists but ill wait and see.
