Just wondering, how are the High Streets faring in the Scottish towns? Are they thriving or are they suffering the same decline as some towns in England and Wales?

I don't think many are thriving.Asda,Tesco etc have caused some of the small shops to close
Lots of charity shops but not much else.
New places open from time to time but almost always close within about a year.
Unfortunately we are not immune either horseshoes, decline in high streets same as everywhere else, rise in betting shops, charity shops and surprisingly coffee shops/cafes,although why there is a rise in these I cannot understand if money is so tight, but it seems some people cannot go out for any reason without going "for coffee"!!
We have bookies, hairdressers and charity shops and that is it really. Most shops have been empty for a few years now.

It' such a shame isn't it. I can remember not wanting tomorrow into town with my mum or gran at Christmas because t was too crowded and I was frightened of the crush. Can you believe it!!!
I went into town today for the first time since before Christmas (Hereford) and was gob smacked at the numb of empty shops, shocking.
