Race For Life 2013

Is anyone doing the Race for Life this year? Cannot do it myself, too old etc. but willing to support someone.

after my father died of prostate cancer, Christmas 2005 .. my mother started doing it, with me as her support however, she is now too old and frail. alas

it is a shame that it is for females only

'morning excelsior. I too am rather frail so unable to take part, but I supported someone on AB last year with a donation and will do so again. Unfortunately I did not make a note of the name but it doesn't really matter who it is as long as I can give the donation to someone. If no-one answers I shall give something anyway. Probably to Breast Cancer research.

Two of my daughters did it last year. One in memory of my mum and the other in memory of my mum-in-law. Both died of bowel cancer.

They'll probably be doing it again this year. I too think men should be able to take part. Perhaps we ought to get one of our own started?

Ive done it every year since my mum died of breast cancer. Am doing it again this year - just hope my tendonitis has calmed down by then, else I will be crawling round lol.
