One For Sqad - Or Anyone With Experience Of This Surgery.

The present Mrs Hughes is due to have a small cyst removed from her neck, just under one ear.

She is assuming that this will done done with a local, and stiches.

The day after, she is due to work - she is a schools inspector - which is quite an intense day with lots of walking about, mettings etc.

Is she likely to be fit to do the work, or is she best cancelling - will she need a day or even more to recover from the proceedure?

id assume she may have some pain following the procedure, could she not take one/two days off work ?

dont know how this works by comparison, I had a largish mole removed from my back, 3 stitches and then went on to work an 8 hour shift.

She should be perfectly fit for work. She will have a small dressing over the wound and may suffer a little discomfort and slight swelling, but nothing ibuprofen can't control.

The only issue might be head turning if she is in meetings and so on, the position of the stitches might make it uncomfortable and maybe inadvisable. So long as she can manage this, she should be fine. If she is stressed about the procedure then she might feel very tired once its safely over and the stress is off.

No problem andy....it will be done under local anaesthesia, stitches in situ and be ready for work a couple of hours after.
