Bosch Exxcel Dishwasher

The CHECK WATER light has come on and I can't find anything in the idiot guide telling me how to fix it. Does anyone have any ideas please?

that would normally mean check water supply, this would mean that the machine is unable to get any water into it.

check taps on sink end of hose is turned on if they are not thatd your proble, if they are..

turn off tap pull machine out remove water hose from back and stick in a bowl, turn tap back on to check water is getting through hose, if it is then it is more than likely to be water inlet valve on machine, if no water getting through then either hose or tap is blocked,

From now on only do this if you are confident of abilty to do it.

Take top of machine, should be able to see the inlet valve directly behind where you screw hose in (the plastic bit sticking out back of machine is part of the valve). using a multi metre check that when machine is on and you start a cycle that there is power across the two electrical connectors on the valve (240volts be careful) if there is power then the valve has had it.. you can get these from any domestic appliance spares place, check yellow pages, they are simple to change and often standard across brands, take old one off and take it with you

If no power across the the valve then the controller has probably had it, call in a domestic appliance engineer, be prepared to either pay a small fortune or to replace the dishwasher.

When I try to put the rinse aid in the holder, it runs right thru to the door and will not stay in the holder.
