Hello.
I run AVG free as my anti-virus program and have discovered that I have 8 viruses in my virus vault that are not healable.
My questions are; Is there any way of getting rid of these viruses ?
Is the virus vault a safe place and can these viruses cause me problems ?
I am very security concious and like to have a clean PC and this has given me the right hump!!
Please help.
Thanks.

I don't use AVG, though I have in the past, but as I understand it the viruses are harmless once they're quarantined. Someone else may have a definitive answer. Meantime, check out the help file, and also the AVG website, the answer must surely be in either or probably both places.
I use the free AVG antivirus and as said above, they are quarantined and will do no further harm. You can easily empty the vault or delete the contents if it is upsetting you.

Probably a dopey question but can the viruses do any harm (or escape) if emptied or deleted from the virus vault ?
At the moment they are "disarmed" in quarantine and will do no harm. Deleting them will permanently delete them from your hard drive. Don't worry, you are safe!
