I'd thought his 'Hitchikers guide to...' stuff was the work of an older man yet see he was quite young when he died. Do others here like his work?

The Guide was on radio first, written for radio, and the radio version is unsurpassed. It's still available.

He created one of my favourite characters, Slartibartfast, whose greatest joy was that he had created the Norwegian fjords. Delightfully dotty.
