Why Not Just Charge Same Price As Other Times.?

I have just been to Asda today and in the foyer it is chocker blocked with bouquet flowers at half price. And half price was still expensive. They must lose out as no one is going to buy them after tomorrow .

Many of those growers (whether in the UK or in Holland and Belgium, where many of our cut flowers come from) struggle to survive, so it's hardly surprising that they increase their prices when there's a sudden demand for their products (such as around Valentine's Day and Mother's Day). Supermarkets and florists simply pass those price hikes on to their customers.
