Specifically meat, fruit, or anything at all?
Doh - I phrased that last response badly.

@fruitsalad ; Was he told specifically meat but that he could eat anything else in the preceding 12 hours, or was he advised to fast for 12 hours, avoiding all food etc?

Never thought of CCT, because that us usually a 24 hour urine collection test and requires a blood test as well

Only other thing I can think of if it is only a urine test is as a means of measuring hydroxyprolene levels, but that is a bit obscure...
Could be an albumin/creatinine ratio test, you can't eat meat 12 hours before and it has to be an early morning sample.
@fabsec - Do you have a reference for that? First i have heard of that requirement when performing an ACR test.....
