BBC's Question Time has often been accused of leaning to the 'Left', so does this come as any surprise?

Perhaps better to do a little scaremongering, at least if it proves false we will be better prepared for the unknown amount that does come, rather than being totally unprepared as we were the last time.

LG, that's exactly what polsters do, 4000+ is a huge sample compared to election polls, for example, which are often only a couple of hundred.

AOG the thing is, such tactics mark the people behind them as either dishonest or stupid, or both. And this from a party which claims not to be like the other parties. But the one that tells it to us straight!
They could "scaremonger" just as easily and more plausibly by doing a more scientific analysis.

@ Danger- nonsense. It was 4,000 people who chose to respond to an online survey. No one has any clue whether they were bulgarian residents, whether people voted more than once, or indeed just how representative they were. Such a poll is not worth wiping your backside with, assuming you wished to print it out.

Those polls carried out in the Uk for example by IPSOS MORI and others can often be reasonably accurate from a sample size of anywhere between 1000 - 2000, but that is because they are selected to act as a representative sample.To attempt to attribute an equivalence between a self-selected poll carried out online by a tv company and a proper poll conducted by a professional polling organisation is to fundamentally misunderstand statistics.

And, seriously- think about it for a minute - to extrapolate such a result to act as an arbiter over a whole country? Absurd....

And to AoG - No, I do not believe in scare-mongering. It only serves to promote fear and xenophobia, both of which we can do without...
