With all the wars going on around the world and Britain having a professional army!lets take time out to remember all the men who fought in the first and second world wars who never had the choice to fight or not, but were conscripted and got on with it without any thought of recognition but just to do their duty for their country!There was no lines of people waiting for their coffins coming back from the front!

good thought, however there would have been no time to stand in line waiting for the coffins coming home, seeing how there were so many, or the civilians were dodging Hitler's bombs, and remember women got killed in numbers too.

Thank's em10. I haven't forgotten about all the women who fought and civilians who have died through the years.My main point was that the soldiers then had no choice and were not professionals,but got on with it anyway..no fuss!

Remebrance Sunday is for EVERYONE who died serving for our country in ANY and EVERY conflict, conscripted, volunteered or professional.

Just to put you right, my Dad wasn't conscripted, he volunteered as did many of his brave comrades. Please remember them too !

We have a day for that already;

Remembrance Day (also known as Poppy Day or Armistice Day) is a memorial day observed in Commonwealth countries since the end of World War I to remember the members of their armed forces who have died in the line of duty.

IF this remark is good enough to get people talking and remembering ALL the people who died in all conflicts then that's not a bad thing! If it wasn't for them we wouldn't be here and i like to think about them not just on remembrance day!!
