I have been 'big' all my life and tried every diet under the sun but in the end I found the best thing (and most sucessful) for me was too just change my eating habits. Just be sensible - counting calories is depressing so just use your intelligence. For example - Have breakfast not toast soaked in butter coz everyone knows thats bad, so go for a nice high fibre low fat cereal if that bland then chop up banana or something into it. Lunch - think of what you usually have then try t think if you can have similar but less fat etc i.e tuna mayo jacket- have a jacket, no butter slap on a tin of tuna put a table spoon of low fat mayo on it and maybe chop up some peppers or onion onto it to pep it up a bit. Do you know what I mean? Most importantly - set yourself goals and don't deny yourself or you will lose heart. If you eat really healthily all week promise yourself a treat on a certain day, if you are a choccy fan promise yourself you will have a Mars bar on Sunday if you have been good all week!! It really does help!! Some people have trouble shifting weight off places like their bum or hips even though they have slimmed down elsewhere so you will need to do the dreaded excercise too!! if you hate the gym there are videos and DVD for tums and bums for all levels of fitness I don't have one to recommend but if you go to Amazon.co.uk you will be able to read up on all the one available and find one to suit you. Hope some of this helps and Good Luck x x x
