Stupid Aol Starting Up
2 Answers
I have Windows XP and I use AOL 9 software for my email. I'm not with them anymore, I just use the software. However whenever my PC starts up, AOL starts up without me asking, and then breaks, then tries to reconnect over and over. I want to stop AOL from starting up just cos I switch my computer on. Any ideas how I can do this?
Many thanks

Type 'msconfig' into the box and click 'OK'
Click the 'Startup' tab.
Look through the list of processes for anything referring to AOL.
Click to remove the tick alongside any such process.
Click 'Apply'
Click 'OK'
Restart your computer. You'll see a box telling you that you're using 'selective startup'. Put a tick where it says 'Do not show this message again'.
