I guess you did get answers, but I also guess you were hoping from more than just a yes and a nope!!! I have, and can say it was excellent - mine was slow cooked as a kind of stroganoff ..... highly recommended but I can only speak for slow cooking it ................ I generally don't use recipes, but here is one which would produce something similar to my dish ..... I tend not to use red wine though, as it can leave an after taste if high in tannin, so I substitute this for a decent glug of brandy:

yes, it makes a good goulash - especially left a day then reheated - and daube of beef
