Membership Card Holder Chain

Somebody kindly advised me on where to buy rigid plastic membership card holders. Now that they have arrived, I need chains so that they can hang around the wearers' necks.

The chains I am looking for are like a series of tiny balls joined together, a bit like those you find at one end of vertical blinds. Will some kind person point me in the right direction please?

The word you seem to be struggling for is 'lanyard' but do you really need the metal ones? (They're a lot more expensive than the ordinary ones). Wouldn't these do?

Otherwise you'll need to search for 'metal lanyard', 'chain lanyard' or something similar (but I can't find anything at less than several pounds each).

Thank you both. I already have several of the ribbon-type lanyards but really wanted the metal ones this time. They last so much longer.

As someone who wears a lanyard every day, I can assure you that the ribbon type ones are very long lasting.

Indeed tilly, mine has lasted for years, and it doesn't mark my clothes like the metal ones can.

The ribbon ones have a clasp at the back so if anyone tries to grab you by your lanyard, it snaps free.
They last forever. Please don't choose style over practicality.

DSJ - i use these at work and swtiched from the metal ones to ribbon because they are much better, however if you are set on metal, im pretty sure i still have some in a bag somewhere, i can check for you and if i do you are welcome to them

not allowed metal ones at work for security reasons, they would be lethal if a robber tried to force someone to get at the safe, surprised they even sell them now

The metal ball ones have quite weak "links" and so thay snap if pulled .... and our newer fabrice ones have panic clips
