Embarassing Interviews........lol

I had an interview this morning, and I sat opposite 2 people from the company, a District Manager and a Team Leader.
It was quite a long interview and I was getting very thirsty. Luckily they had put out a bottle of sparkling and a bottle of flat water for me, and a glass. After about half an hour I just had to pour a drink, so I opened one of the bottles whilst still trying to make eye contact and listen to them. I was just about to start pouring when I noticed the look on their faces looking at my hand and I glanced down to see that the glass was upside down! Just in the nick of time I managed to stop myself pouring and creating a waterfall all over the table! Well it broke the ice anyway....... lol

Anybody else done/nearly done something daft in an interview?

not embarrasing but i was reading out a post on here to my husband about job interview one (because he had one the next day) and the question that someone had posted (where does your boss think you are today) came up!

Not me, but a mate of mine went for a Consultant's post in Bristol and at the end of the interview, he stood up and walked to the door, opened it .....and it was the broom cupboard.

He got the job................won't name him to save his embarrassment.

I did that once sqad.....wasn't a broom cupboard it was an ante room but the wrong door nevertheless...I burst out laughing and so did they...Got the job though...

Well...to finish off this story.....he was the equivalent of Frank Spencer......everything went wrong for this poor bloke.

He was out walking his dog one night on the outskirts of a park and a car came to a screeching halt and out jumped a young woman followed by a bloke and he chased her into the park, caught her and pinned her to the ground.
My mate dropped the lead and ran into the park after them and jumped onto the back of the assailant who was pinning this young girl to the ground.

She looked up at my mate and said "F.ck off will yer.".......

I could tell you other stories about him in the operating theatre...but i won't..
