Is there a new ED on here?

I have noticed all of a sudden I am getting very ordinary answers banned - one was simply because i had copied and pasted the original question and highlighted the bits that were offensive, I didn't say very much, I was just pointing them out as someone had told me it was not offensive - and my answer was banned but the original question wasn't!!

It seems the Ed isn't reading the context of replies just focussing on random words or automatically banning when someone has reported an answer they don't agree with.

one was a Q that was just a moan about a celeb and the person admitted they were in a mood about it - i said, literally, that this was not a question, just a rant about a celeb they don't like - my answer was banned!

Some of my answers in the past perhaps should be banned, which is fine, but when they are just simple answers its not fair.

even someones question ABOUT why people swear has been banned! no swearing in it just about whys and hows of swearing!

I agree with what you're saying but think you're pretty one-sided too. I had seen you had an answer banned in the celeb Q, but hadn't you seen my post had gone too where I was sticking up for you in the same thread?

I know recently the Ed has mistakenly banned other people simply by hitting the wrong key and after upsetting the person saying "sorry" B4 reinstating them + their posts. I have an uncomfortable feeling AB is moving towards othr things as irritating as CB was, or could be..

Could this disappear, I wonder?

how does your answer being banned too mean i am one sided?

if ed banned your answer and it wasn't offensive, then that just proves my point doesn't it?

Hope to clear up the removal situation : Once a post is reported multiple times by fellow ABers the post is automatically removed until a moderator can put it back. If the moderator removes a post in a thread, other posts that refer back to the post that has been removed will be removed also - otherwise the second poster looks like they are either commenting on themselves or it just doesn't make any sense.

If the Qustion on swearing you are referring to is the one in Phrases and Sayings, it is indeed still live:

Easy really, you were worried about you, not a word about other posts that may have disappeared - but there again maybe you hadn't realised. I do tend to remember the number of answers a thread gets if I have been involved...

As for Ed not reading the content; I agree with you, joko. I understand from what s/he has said several ABers must have reported my post (God only knows why!) but the post after mine refers to what I said and now what the person says looks totally ridiculous.
