Replacement For Canon Powershot A470

My Canon powershot has developed a fault. There are horizontal lines on the image, also some images are totally white. Any ideas what the cause is? If I need to replace this camera, does anyone know what the current Canon equivelant camera would be or can any one recommend another model of similar spec. I just want a fairly cheap "point and press" camera. thanks in advance for any replies

The Canon PowerShot A4000 IS is the latest entry level point and shoot model. If you're used to canon's then you can't go far wrong

Check out eBay. I bought a digi camera for £20 and it is easy to use and takes good pics.
