Copy control and ipod

I've recently purchased an ipod and am in the process of putting my music collection onto it. However, some of my favourite albums have 'copy control'. When I play them on my PC they open in another music player and I can't import them into itunes. Is there any way (preferably a nice, simple way as I'm not very technically minded!) I can get them on my pod?

have you tried setting itunes as your default media player in the tab marked 'set programm access and defaults?'
I had this problem once, Scarlett. I followed the instructions posted by ralvuimago in this thread, and it worked like a charm:

There are other, more complicated instructions there, but I don't really like mucking about with the registry. See if it works.
