I started a blog a month ago and was hoping to find people who shared my interests. I have followed the intructions on making my blog visible to search engines but I haven't yet had any visitors despite being picked up by search engines. please has anyone got any helpful hints on how to promote my blog and get people to visit it.

Go and join forums for your interests and add your blog address in your forum siggy
