I am a single 27 y/o male who would like top go to India on a package tour.

Can anyone recommend anything?

How long can you go for? DOn't do a package. Just get flights and a lonely Planet and you can do everything once you're there. Be prepared to do a lot of bartering but will be much cheaper/cooler/enjoyable.

Depending on time of year, Goa for beaches/raves

McCleod Ganj/Dharamsala for tibetan buddhist monks and treks in the Himalayan foothills

Hampi/Mysore for old cities and great food

Cochin - for mellow trip on Keralan backwaters

Mumbai for the whole Bollywood feel

The list goes on - it's a great country...enjoy!
