John Sanford 'prey Series'

Having completed all the Jack Reacher books by Lee Child, I have been recommended the Prey Series by John Sandford. There are 23 books in the series, has any one read these? Do I need to read them in the order written?

I've read quite a lot of them . Very good .I think you need to read them in order though to get the gist of what he's about .

Thank you very much Shaneystar ! I have ordered Rules of Prey, and thanks for the info on Lucas Davenport. I am sure I will grow to love him as much as Jack Reacher !
