monte carlo casino dress code

hello.im going to monte carlo and plan a visit to the famous casino.ive heard they have a strict dress code but does this only apply for the evening? our visit would be for mid afternoon.any advice or comments would be great.thanks in advance.

The casino's website doesn't seem to indicate that the dress code is particularly strict. It says that "a jacket and tie must be worn in the private rooms after 2200" but the only general requirement is that "suitable attire must be worn":

thanks for answering.what would be deemed suitable attire? is that dressing like james bond or anything other than jeans and trainers !!

A business suit would be fine, but slacks and a sports jacket (with appropriate footwear) should also be OK.

I think a business suit is okay if you're going to a casino. Never heard of any that requires a certain dress code. As long as you look presentable, you are good to go.
