Anyone Uding A Mobility Scooter/
5 Answers
Have decided to pack up the old motor - my grandson wants it - but although I used it so little, will sometime wish it was still there.
My son tells me I need a scooter which would let me do all the things I need to do about the village. Guess i would feel rather odd but am sure he is right.

My wife had one and it certainly helped her get about and maintain some independence. Hers was designed to come apart fairly easily so that it could be carried in the car boot.
You can get a wide variety to suit your requirements 3, 4 or even 5 wheel models. Normal speed seems to be between 4 to 12 miles / hour depending on model of course. Range for my wifes was about 18 miles / charge.

Thanks to you all.
Must keep going - no point in just letting everything go hang!
guess i will try a scooter - get me to the shops, the mobile library, etc.
Now thinking about a kind soul to do a bit of cleaning for me - had the hoover out this morning and had to have a rest after doing the kitchen!
Yes, Gavmacp, things have certainly changed recently but I am determined not to let myself go.
The hardest part is the loneliness - takes some getting used to.
Goodnight all, God Bless

You'll be surprised just how common place they are too, no need to feel odd, feel liberated! Just take it easy to begin with as the controls are easy but sensitive.
