10 Answers
Hi everyone, Im a young man and actively involved with the work of God. I recenlty started a fellowship group which is mostly made out of pentecostal followers. However, there's one young lady thats from the seventh day adventist and we couldnt come to an agreement as to when and how the sabbath day should be kept. Can we keep it anyday or r the seventh day adventist right about their ways. Thank you.

In traditional reckoning (ignore the godless lot at the ISO!) Sunday is the first day of the week* which makes Saturday the seventh day. [ *Luke 24 v.1, John 20 v.1, etc. ] Because the Resurrection of Christ is the defining event in Christianity, the early Christians decided to observe Sunday, rather than Saturday as their sabbath, or holy day.
I'm sure that I read somewhere once that every one of the seven days of the week is the holy day for at least one of the world's religions. I suppose that means the 'sabbath' can be whatever one you choose, but 'the Sabbath' is strictly from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset, as already posted. The Seventh Day Adventists are entitlaed to their own minority opinion, but I don't see why they should expect it to be taken up by all Christians.

...And he's going to get bent out of shape about which day of the week you go to church on?
Really?
I think Johnathon Swift saw it all so clearly with Lilliputions fighting wars over whether a boiled egg should be opened from the little-end or the big-end

And the people said 'Lord tell us how we may serve you'
And the Lord said 'Love each other'
And the people said ' Yes but what songs shall we sing to praise your name?'
And the Lord said 'Love each other'
And the people said 'But which food may we eat and which is unclean?'
And the Lord said 'Love each other'
And the people said 'But how must we dress when we go to church?'
And the Lord gave up and went fishing
