Been to the WI - got a coffee and walnut cake, a lemon drizzle cake, a chocolate cake, I've made a Victoria sandwich, there some tea cakes to toast and butter, or some cup cakes with pink, lemon, white, or pale green butter-icing. Might find a scone or two left over from yesterday

Thanks tonyav! we do lots of things and then when we get a good bit of money we send it to them. Since last October we've done two quizzes, an 80's theme disco, and a Christmas fancy dress disco, we made and sold Christmas wreaths with pine cones, ribbon and holly, and my neighbour who knits always donates 10% of anything she sells and gives to us. so far we are up to £647 - that includes the giant whisky bottle full of change in the local off-liciense. Other people in the area do stuff too sponsored walks, swims bike rides, treasure hunts raffles etc
Well done Iluvspikey.
Thats a brill idea, is it a registered charity as we are looking for a new charity to raise funds for at work.

We like to support small charities as well as the big ones.
Could be the CF Trust.

I used to do a bit for them because a good mate's daughter has CF. I know how much support they derived from them when she was born.

No were not registered, but everybody knows 'katy' (not her real name) and we do write to the CF charity and they send us blank banners
OK shame we can't help if it is not a registered charity
Thanks but no thanks. Not allowed cake and don't like tea.
she might have some whiskey though Daisy !.
"Thanks but no thanks. Not allowed cake and don't like tea." Why bother posting such a stupid answer ......... !

Sorry I misunderstood, yes it is a registered charity Cystic Fibrosis trust .

Another charity we help that is small is Spocc : Society of parents of children with cancer. it helps to give the children days out and holidays with their families who wouldn't normally be able to afford it.
