Bald Kitty
17 Answers
My younger kitty, Robbie, managed to give himself a long gash on his side needing a wash out and stitches under anaesthetic about 2 weeks ago. Everything has healed well, and his stitches were taken out this week, but the area they have clipped for the procedure has got very minimal little sprigs of fur so far, so he's not looking at his best (and it's very obvious because he's black). Is there a 'fur booster' supplement he can take, or has he just got to keep looking like the emperor's new clothes?

Oh dear, I can't quite imagine filling in the blanks with a marker, but thanks for the suggestion!
Noth, he won't even wear a collar (got rid of his lampshade in the 10 minute drive home from the vets), and wouldn't look half as cute as that kitten.
Society, nice idea, but don't think it's quite him.
Anyway, need to go and feed the critters now as they're campaigning for their tea.
Thanks for all your suggestions.
Happy Easter

I thought that your thread said "Bad Kitty" and came just to laugh at your dilemma. One of my two is stomping around on the printer and sending bits of paper flying out of it and onto the floor.
How did Robbie hurt himself? Was it a fight or an attempt to squeeze through a gap that was smaller than him?

If he is ginger, you could turn him into a lion:

Wolf, the vet thought he had caught himself on some wire as the cut was very clean. He's more of a lover than a fighter (well, he's like to be a fighter but as he's small and was neutered at 6 months the other kitties tend to ignore him..) I live next door to a derelict house which the neighbours use the back garden for as a rubbish tip, so it could have been anything in there. Campbell, my other kitty (the black and white kitty in the photo) showed him some sympathy when he came home distressed by licking his face, then promptly walloped him one in surrogate big sisterly fashion
Hopkirk, he's black, I don't think he could masquerade as a panther quite yet.
Jules, will look at the lotion, thank-you

I am sure that he will tell all the kitties in the street that he was injured saving a litter of kittens from a huge dog, and that getting injured was nothing next to the injuries the the dog sustained.
My Frankie (in avatar) is usually sporting painful looking scratches on his face - his sister is evil.

Unfortunately Wolf, he may be six and a half but his voice never broke and he still only has a little 'mew' so he wouldn't be very convincing on that one.
He is definitely 'second cat' in the house to Campbell, but they will sleep curled up together until I get home, then they jump up and start play fighting, it's all a bit odd. She doesn't really hurt him though.
Hope your kitties are warming their paws in whatever sunshine we have.
