Why is it that the soap and conditioner holder on my washing machine gets so dirty when all that goes in is washing powder and conditioner? Thanks

Could it be where some of the powder/conditioner gets left there, and it goes a bit mouldy/yucky?

I don't know the actual reason, but mine gets it too when I use fabric conditioner. I just clean it on a regular basis.

For "dirty" read "mouldy". The dampness from the water (which also goes in!) causes mould to grow.
Take the dispenser drawer out and clean AND dry it after use. No more mould!

They just do. The only thing you can do is regularly take it out and give it a good scrub.

remove then soak it in a bleach & washing up liquid solution for about 30 mins then rinse, do this once a month and" every little thing gonna be alright".
