I keep grapes, melon, pineapple, apples and pears in the fridge. In fact the only fruit I don't store in there are oranges and bananas. Apart from potatoes & onions, I store as many of my other vegs in the fridge as possible which find prevents them from drying out in a warm kitchen. If I have surplus tomatoes I also keep them in there to prevent them ripening too quickly.
At times like Christmas when the fridge gets too full, I store my suplus veggies either in a cool garage or outside stored in plastic bags where they remain fresher for far longer than kept in the kitchen.
