Sky Broadband Speed Problem
3 Answers
I got a new router last week, plugged it in and all was well.I was watching BBC i player in HD.Last night things went wrong and I tried the speed check diagnostic the BBC has and the results where horrifying, streaming at a speed so slow I could not even listen to radio,an astonishing 28 kbps!!!
Today is slightly better at 3354 kbps, but will I ever be able to watch in HD again (over 3500kbps according to their results)
The leaflet that came with the router said to leave it on for 10 days so they(Sky) can sort out speeds, but I would of thought that applied to new connections only, and I have been with Sky for years.
When I contacted them last week, they ran a test and said the speed was OK,so do I just cross my fingers and wait 10 days for it to settle down,or is there something I can do to help?
I am using it mainly wireless, but also wired now and again, with windows 7 and games consoles(oh and mobiles when the kids are around)
Thanks for any advice
