Ed: Another Poll Suggestion

R&S is very lively at the moment with a multitude of different opinions. It would be interesting to know how many ABers claim religion, and how many are atheists or agnostics. Any chance of a poll?

I think it comes out clearly enough in debates in R&S without "tagging" everyone, and there are so many variants the list would be far too lengthy.

Jack, the polls are anonymous, so no one would be 'tagged' - and for that reason I think people who don't usually join the debates might vote. Also there are only three options - religious, agnostic or atheist.

Ed, how about:

Do you believe in the existence of a God?

1. Yes.

2. Don't know.

3. No.

I try to avoid "Don't know" as it's barely a valid answer to most poll questions - equally, many who don't believe also "don't know".

Maybe:

Do you self identify as:

1. Religious
2. Agnostic
3. Atheist

or similar...

I am confused. My confusion is not from the topic but from MickTalbot posting. His profile states user inactive. Never knew it was possible for an inactive poster to still be able to post. Or am I wrong and possibly loosing it?
