no
Mine hasn't but my daughter's has.
Most if not all Diesels that are Euro IV compliant (its an exhaust emissions regulation) will have a catalytic converter to reduces tailpipe emissions
is this a wind up?as far as i can gather diesels give no emissions only soot
and i dont need to consult the web on this one

I think you do - otherwise what are these people selling -http://www.cats-direct-shop.co.uk/diesel-catalytic-conve rter.php.

Yes there are cats for diesels

None of my diesels has one and I'm not sure they would get hot enough to work properly anyway but I'm sure some unfortunate has one.

On the Euro IV diesels they are particulate filters. Not catalysts in the true sense.

thanks electrochem you saved my bacon.soot dont count as an emission surely?
