How Do You Eaily Turn Voicemail On And Off - T-Mobile

I feel very stupid asking this but how do I turn Voicemail on and off on the T-Mobile network? I have a back up phone and missed a call on it the other day, so I decided to set up the Voicemail service. I selected the basic pre recorded message from the options and then assumed I'd be able to turn voicemail on and off when I needed to with a couple of strokes on the keyboard. This is a basic LG cheapo phone on a pay as you go package.

I just can't seem to find the codes to use. I assumed it would be something like those used on other networks like 1750 for on and 1760 for off. But try as I may I can't seem to find which codes to use. Duh!

I've been to the T-Mobile site but can't find a thing on the set up instructions section of the site. Could any kind soul help. Thank you.
