Can Someone Hack Into My Email Account ?
1 Answers
Hi there I am on hotmail, a few weeks ago I tried to log in to check my email and It said that someone was using my account and to change my password. They sent me a code to my mobile number., I changed my password but I was wondering if someone could have hacked into my email account. None of my contacts have had any unusual emails. But it is a worry there is a lot of private information from people on my emails.

It is a good idea to look into what makes a strong password!

You may also find in your email settings that the hijackers may have used a secondary email to link to your account.
In order to prevent this from happening again make sure that your computer(s) are checked for viruses and just be aware of nasties on the internet.

Don't worry too much though, it won't be a single person, chances are it's probably just a robot hacking millions of accounts and just trying to use yours to sell things.
