Mags - seriously, hope you have got through these last 3 weeks without too many losses as, for many I know in the NW, it has been really grim.

And yes, Agneau de sel, cooked so that it is medium rare and then properly rested is the food of the Gods.

DTC - we have Swaledale Ewes who traditionally lamb later so we started just as the snow was clearing - I think we would have been in real trouble if they had lambed a week earlier as one of our neighbours lost 60 ewes suffocated in the snow drifts all ready to lamb- it is heartbreaking. We're only halfway through but its nice to see a bit of warmer weather.
