Hi, I read a book about ten years ago, I'd like to re-read it, but of course I have no idea of the title or author now! I think the book may have been written in the 90s, quite sure it was a female author. The lead character in the story starts off being quite heavy and plain looking I think. Then she has all kinds of surgery and ends up slim and looking completely different. She goes on to be a singer or model and becomes very rich. She doesn't like to show her body in the nude to anyone because of all the surgery scarring. She may end up in a romance with her surgeon? I believe there was a certain element of revenge involved somehow, like maybe she starts buying up (in secret) the property whoever did her wrong. (Although this particular piece of info may be from a different book altogether!) Any ideas?
In the (unlikely) event that anyone was following this post, I did find out the name of the book, it's called "Flavour of the month" by Olivia Goldsmith. I found out what it was on a website called Abebooks, there is a forum where you can ask about something you've read but can't remember the author or title, the members of the forum will help you figure it out.
