I saw an advert for a sort of gun which pushes a kind of nail into the wall to hang up pictures. I know it was around £20 to buy and I intended buying one, but didn't take notes as I thought I would see it again when it was repeated. Unfortunately I have not seen the advert again. Does anyone know what it was? I know my description is a bit sketchy but someone might know what I mean.

I think it's probably called Instahang. You put it against the wall and push the knobby bit, hey presto. It's £14.99 at Amazon. Hope this is the one you mean.

Yes, thanks everyone, this is the one, but the reviews aren't very good are they. Wondering now whether to buy or not. I know it isn't an enormous amount of money, but hate to waste any. I shall have to make up my mind one way or another, but in the meantime thanks for your help.
I ve got one called the taker. It works well on light things but I wouldn't trust it on crumbly walls or with heavy items
Not taker, takker blooming spell check
If it seems too good to be true in the ads, it probably is and will be a let-down as well as a waste of money. Remember the ads years ago for the go-anywhere coathooks? Send off £1.99 and receive by return of post a 6"nail. This was in the early 80s when £1.99 would get you rather tipsy in the pub.
