Wireless Doorbell Receiver

Does the plug in bit of a wireless doorbell have a fuse in it? Mine's stopped working and I only changed the battery in the push button bit about 6 weeks ago, the plug bit can't be opened without a strange screwdriver so I can't see if there's a fuse in there. I don't mind buying a new battery if that's what it is but they're a pain to get hold of.

door bell batteries in the push button dont last very long in fact i would say there a bad buy altogether
wired door bell types are better

But 6 weeks, the one before lasted about a year, mind you I got the latest one off eBay!
I'll go see if I can find a battery then, thanks alan ;)

I can't see there likely being a fuse for a battery driven doorbell. A mains powered doorbell maybe.

I don't like what is on offer these days. Replaced mine a number of times since moving in. Speaks volumes on the standard that industry holds itself to these days. Finding a hard wired mains driven one is difficult, you probably need to use the Internet. Of course then you have to find a place to wire it in.

It was the bloody battery, that's the last time I get any from eBay!

Things like batteries from China are not a good buy.

The new one came from Robert Dyas so hopefully it'll last a bit longer.
