I would. Poverty or age don't come into it. That's for the Court to decide. Sometimes, if the person is desperate, nicking them is the best thing, so they can get help. If they're not desperate, then they deserve to be nicked anyway.

Don't know. There was a great commotion in Aldi last week and the doors were locked and the tills removed. All for a family who the staff said were thieving.

Yes of course, I wouldn't tackle anybody myself though, not just for shoplifting.
