So They've Postponed The "debate"....
That's big of them. Is this "debate" just another continuation of the bile spewing frenzy we have seen in recent days? Surely the anti Thatcherites have had ample opportunity to rubbish her.

the what? you're getting a bit carried away aren't you?
Of course, a little bit of 'bile' might have been stimulated by the 'adulation idolising frenzy' of the past 9 days
I'm sure Lady Thatcher, more than anyone, would have been deeply disturbed if her death hadn't prompted animosity from some people
As it is a 'debate' I expect it will provide an opportunity for some members of the SP to say nice things about her too
Are there any Conservatives in the SP?

I cannot imagine the debate lasting that long in Scotland.
The "bile spewing frenzy" has, it seems to me, be in direct response to the fawning adulation expressed by some sections of the media - and in a direct response to what amounted to a state funeral, used by some within the establishment or a vindication of the legacy of Thatcherism - as an unopposed days long party political broadcast.

The debate is on the subject 'There is such a thing as society' Seems like an interesting and timely discussion. The Tories, largely thanks to Thatcher, may have been obliterated in Scotkand and she herself may be physically dead now as well, but that seems a poor excuse to skirt an issue which could well be aired south of the border also
