Makeup/gift advice needed - 16 year old girl - gothy

Hi everyone. I need to buy a reasonably priced gift for a friend's daughter. She's around 16 years old and wears dark gothy type makeup. I'm a middle aged woman and don't want to take a stab at the right lipstick/nail polish/eye makeup in case I get it wrong. Any advice please. Thanks ever so. Merry Christmas everyone.

Urban Decay do a wide range of colours, including deep purples and blacks, and some lovely deep coloured lipsticks, they also do eye shadow palettes and gift sets...and their packaging is fab!

alternatively ask her mum, she should be able to give you a clue as to what she uses

I would go for something that is not make up if she has her own style. What about a bubble bath and a diary that is suited to a teenager.

If she's as gothy as you say, she will appreciate some black makeup, maybe some dark purple. And something to make her face pale (Perhaps talcum powder?). If she hasn't already, some hair dye or funky extensions. Or, just little bits of clothes with skulls on or whatever. You'll do fine, whatever you do.
