Hen's Eggs
17 Answers
We have been given two dozen eggs from a friend. I didn't want to offend her by asking, but are all hens vaccinated against salmonella?

But then I am not a great egg eater and use less than 6 eggs a month.
Wash them and hard boil them or use them for cooking rather than having them soft perhaps.

I eat local farm eggs from unvaccinated hens and also drink raw milk, I've never caught anything nasty. My Mother had salmonella once when she was pregnant, caught from a hotel, and she says without doubt it was the most horrific thing imaginable and was in hospital for ages with it, so I can understand you being careful but I'm sure in this case you'll be fine, the chances of catching salmonalla like this are very very small.
